That tree is here in Portland, OR, in the Japanese Garden. It is meticulously pruned every year.
So many new buildings downtown, it’s almost getting to the point I barely recognize my old stomping grounds.

Chaga, a medicinal fungus…people use it in teas, take capsules of it etc. Mostly grows on birch trees.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Terwilliger Boulevard.
check it out, it starts kind of sort of just south of the end of the park blocks and across the 405 as busy a road as it is, it is a tiny bit confusing to find. from the downtown end. But a nice little drive where you almost feel your out in horse country or some shit…and OHSU and the VA are up there as are some nice old Portland Homes, that you et a few glimpses of,
