The people are loud and clear, they do not want Obamacare

People who say they don’t want Obamacare repealed are paid to say so by Obama’s community organizing thingies.

… but you already knew that.

Yours to prove. You’re on a roll tonight with the horseapples.

I want it improved. It should have had a public option. As it stands, it’s great for poor folks without insurance. Sucks if you’re not poor and don’t have insurance. Sucks yugely.

Does it suck because of the cost or for other reasons?

It’s outrageously expensive.

and often low quality.

I have never or my wife gotten anything but the best care - mostly outstanding through some major operations also

I really can’t wrap my head around how your insurance companies work in terms of where you can go. I can’t fathom a limit on my treatment facilities and if I go to the wrong one, I have to pay up the ass. Sorry but it makes no sense to me.

I can’t wrap my head around being insured and then have a medical emergency and still end up filing Bankruptcy because of the crushing out of pockets fees and co-pays and non covered items.

That’s sickening.

Nothing about our medical system makes sense. That’s because it exists with only one intent – to enrich the insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and hospitals.

Yeah that’s the truly sad part. I think one of the biggest failings of the Affordable Care Act was not regulating the cost of premiums.

There was no intention of controlling costs. It’s all about profiteering. ACA was just a way to force people to buy insurance. They gave a break to poor people, but they got millions of new people paying full price. How many millions did they spend setting up the exchange? You don’t need an exchange if you have single payer.

I’m fed up with this country and the lemmings who accept plutocracy as de rigueur.

Make sure you fight like hell if any of your politicians start making noise about privatizing health care.

That’s one thing we would never agree to. We like our universal health care.

I agree with the idea of having everyone insured. I think everyone should be able to get insurance and not be denied by insurance company death panels who look for reasons to deny people coverage. The problem is that health care coverage should not be for profit.

Here it’s all about the profits, from the doctors, to the hospitals, to the drug companies.

My ex is an RN and very good at what she does, she worked in quality control at the local hospital. So anyways, her job was basically to find ways to improve things. She didn’t really understand how it worked when I met her, and was often frustrated about them ignoring her work etc. Then I explained to her it was because her suggestion was going to cost them rather than help them profit. So after that she improved some things in ways that would make them more money and they were giving her awards, flying her off to conferences and shit…LMFAO

Yeah that figures. Nurses and doctors make a lot more working in the US than in Canada so it’s harder to recruit specialists, especially in rural areas. Hell, it’s hard to find doctors in the boonies at all.

She makes decent money but not even close to being in the same ballpark as a doctor.
