The Gas tax is supposed to go for road repair, whereas the carbon taxes are to disincentify fossil fuel and fund clean energy development.

Lot of states are looking at new revenue streams, since because Presidents have been cracking down on cafe mileages for years, cars are much more efficient, thus using less gas.Even the libtard state of Oregon considering charger a high registration fee for Prius’ and the like because of their high mpg, they didn’t do thatbut there looking at other work around measures, like paying per mile driven.

I dunno, as a disabled vet mine are free, but I think they’re now like 75 a year or thereabouts for “tags” for two years.

There are no taxes in Qatar, UAE, Bahrain…see link for the whole list. The Carribbean would be okay if you have the money to live well there…the ME, not so much.
