It’s more about how the media ignores one of them though. I had never even heard of Marley Lion until seeing that meme.
Marley wasn’t shot by a wannabe cop.
We knew who George was immediately, we heard the 911 tapes soon after, while the cops did nothing until public pressure mounted. Whereas in the dumb white kid, the shooters were not found until an extensive white privilege investigation and all 4 culprits were found and brought in for justice.
Oh, come on. Thousands of people get murdered – black, white, brown – and we never hear about them.
